Learning About Farming and Shipping

I recently moved to a more agricultural area due to a job change (I own a wine a month club) and that move has made me think quite a bit about how I want my son to grow up. Do I want him to grow up in a big city, where he is going to learn how to take the bus or BART when he’s 10? Do I want him to grow up in a rural area like where I live know where he is going to know everyone he comes into contact with on a daily basis? The real question comes, what type of education do I want him to have? Do I want him to experience the hustle and bustle of San Francisco, or the slower pace in a farming community? How do you think kids learn better? From familiar experiences, or from those which are different?
